Stayed here for 3 days in January 2009.
This is a smallish hotel on the edge iof the inner city and within 10 mins walk of the Cathedral and old town. Its an anonymous concrete building down a side street and seems to consist of a small older hotel and a much larger new wing.I stayed in the new wing and would recommend this.
The hotel itself was very bright, modern and clean. There were 3 seperate bar areas with lots of seating available. My room was very large well designed and well appointed and very well serviced. Breakfast(included) was very good with a range of hot and cold choice and fresh warm rolls. Coffee was excellent and drinks at the bar were cheap.
Above all, staff were young but very very helpful and cheerful. It was very cold with snow lying in streets and the Gas crisis in full swing but the hotel was very warm - too warm if anything.

The hotel is well situated in a quiet street very near the historical sights (cathedral, museums) and in walking distance from shopping streets (Vitosha blvd), national administration, embassies and offices of the European organisations (European Union, EBRD). That means that the hotel is convenient for both tourists and business travel. The hotel is new and well kept. The rooms are modern and confortable. I stayed their twice with my family and were offered a suite at a price of a double room (the hotel was full). The suite on the last floor is fantastic. it has a nice view on the city and has a big terrace.
The only negative comment for this hotel is the breakfast. It is rather limited in choice and rather tasteless. However, the staff is very friendly and efficient (reception, restaurant, etc.) and there is a shutlle service to the airport.

City Hotel
their's a another nice hotel you will find in Bulgaria's capital sofia the hotel is very good for an avrage person the cost are not very high like other hotel in sofia.
